Universal Extractor is a program function to exactly what it states: extract files from any sort of archivefile, although it’s a really straightforward zip file, a set program (like Wise or NSIS), or perhaps a Windows Installer (.msi) application.

This program is not supposed to be a general purpose tracking program. It will never replace WinRAR, 7-Zip, etc.. What it could do is allow one to extract files out of nearly any sort of archivefile, regardless of source, compression method, etc.. The initial reason for this project was to make an easy, convenient process to extract files from installation packages, such as Inno Setup or Windows Installer packages, without exposing a command line every time.
